RTD Temperature Detector for Winding Protection / Core / Coil Head of Motors, Generators, PCHS, Hydrogenerators and General Industrial Facilities
This type of RTD temperature detector, due to its dimensions, can be installed in the stator groove, in the coil head of motors and generators and in the most varied situations of an industrial installation to monitor the temperature rise, avoiding damaging the equipment.
The RTD can be embedded or not in an insulating material protection depending on its use.

Unlike on / off devices, RTDs provide continuous monitoring of the temperature and with this it is possible to make an evaluation of the data obtained over time and, thus, when there is a temperature rise, outside the continuous regime of the equipment, take action before any alarm happens.
The sensitive elements of the RTD, depending on its specification, are along its length providing an average temperature reading. This eliminates the problem of isolated hot spots going unnoticed in the equipment.
When the monitored equipment is subject to strong electromagnetic fields this can cause errors in the measurements. In this case, the sensitive element is manufactured in order to minimize these errors.
The RTDs manufactured by Fensys also satisfy the specifications of ANSI C50.10-1990, general requirements for synchronous motors.
Dual RTDs provide extra protection in industrial installations. The second element can be used to monitor the temperature near equipment while the other is used in the control room.
Fensys manufactures customized models for many applications.
As we have control of all stages of production from the sensor element to the finished product, we have different capacities.
Examples of special options that we can manufacture:
- Thermocouple elements
- Thermistor elements (PTC / NTC)
- Electrically conductive coatings
- Special cables with electromagnetic shielding
